10 Things you should know if you start to play DarkOrbit

1. This section of information is just a general overview of the game.
2. First go and earn some money (credits) which can be earned by destroying enemies, collecting rock asteroid material and bonus boxes.
3. Collect (from Bonus Boxes) as much ammunition for your lasers and missiles as possible early on in the game if you can, because if you do this early you wont need to for a long time
4. Know that when your honor goes into the negative it decreases the amount of credits you get from selling raw materials to your space station, whereas the more honor you have, the more you get for your resources.
5. Know where your team's space station is. 
6. There are three teams that you can join, the "Mars mining operations" (MMO), Earth  Industrial Corporations (EIC), and "Venus Resources Unlimited" (VRU).
7. Seek a resource called Uridium which is obtainable by picking up bonus boxes, completing quests and defeating enemies.
8. When you are in a ship that costs credits, always buy another one instead of paying 500 uridium to repair it.
9. Uridium and credits are used to buy items; ships, weapons, ammunition.
10. Complete quests to gain credits and Uridium.

DarkOrbit Jackpot Battle

One time every month there is a Jackpot Battle in browser game Dark Orbit. Every person may join this battle if they are online at the time. This battle is a fight to death and the last spacecraft left still flying is the winning. So what does the player win? He doesn’t win money in the game but he actually wins real cash! Pretty awesome I think that you can actually win real money playing a game like Dark Orbit. He wins the same amount of real cash as he has accumulated of Jackpot dollars in the game.

The jackpot dollar battles take entries all during the week. They are usually held at Sunday afternoons from 2 pm to 10 pm server time. The players that have entered drop at random into various maps until all the maps has about 500 contestants. There are several round, and after each round the players that are left are put into new maps with 500 spacecrafts on each. The last 500 man match is call the death match and the winner here takes home the real cash!
